I wrote this article for Chorus America’s The Voice magazine, and to practice my illustration skills after its publication, I created this digital drawing of one of the interviewees, Lulu Maxfield.

In total, I interviewed five Gen Z conductors, singers, and arts administrators from different parts of North America to highlight perspectives on how choral music can positively impact younger generations. I particularly enjoyed my conversation with Lulu – they work in development for the Los Angeles Master Chorale – which is why I chose to draw them and one of their quotes.
